Five projects funded in the 2026 round
From peatland recovery in the Flow Country to urban green justice in Sao Paulo, this year's grants back five researchers on four continents.
The research fund committee received 61 applications this year, the most in the fund’s history. The five funded projects share a thread: each starts from a community already living with the question it studies.
The 2026 projects
- Peatland recovery in the Flow Country
- Urban green justice in Sao Paulo
The 2027 round opens in January. If you are wondering whether your idea qualifies: the committee’s consistent advice is to ask early and ask plainly.
