Privacy
The Landscape Research Group is a registered charity, number 287160, and a company limited by guarantee. This page explains what we do with personal information, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who is responsible for your information
The Landscape Research Group is the data controller for information collected through this website. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are accountable for looking after it. If you want to ask anything about your personal information, please contact us.
What we collect through this website
This website is largely something you can read without telling us anything about yourself. You do not need an account to read our articles, browse the networks, or download a publication. We collect personal information in a small number of places.
- When you contact us. Our contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message, so that we can reply.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter. We keep the email address you give us until you unsubscribe.
- When you use the site. Like most websites, ours uses cookies. You choose which non-essential cookies to accept when you first arrive, and you can change that choice at any time.
Our membership area is a separate service, on its own web address. Joining, renewing and paying happen there rather than here, and that service has its own privacy information.
What we do with it
We use what you give us for the purpose you gave it to us for: to answer your enquiry, to send you the newsletter you asked for, or to run the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to us using it. You can also withdraw consent at any time where we relied on your consent. Please contact us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below.
